To: President Donald Trump, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate
"COO" (country of origin) on every product
We the undersigned, in the interest of our suffering economy and the loss of jobs to overseas entities do hereby request that a law be enacted AND enforced that would require a C.O.O. (Country Of Origin) be placed on every product to be sold within the United States of America! “Distributed By” will no longer suffice on any product produced after a determined date which would allow manufacturers to comply and use already printed labels or packaging.
We feel that our economy would grow slowly back to where it was before this mass exodus of jobs occurred as manufacturers would have to return production to America or suffer loss of business to true American manufacturers!
By signing this petition I (we) hereby pledge to look at where products are made and when available try buying products that are MADE IN AMERICA!
Why is this important?
We need to be able to tell where any product originally is made, not just “Distributed by” so we can chose to buy American Produced products and bring jobs back to America! If we could tell where the product originated rather than the worthless “distributed by” we see on 75% of the products AND preference buying “ American”, manufacturers would have to move factories back to America! BUT, we can’t buy American if we don’t know where it was made!
