Core Learning Has to Stop
I do not know who started this new CORE learning but it is not right. Its goal is to make our children think more technically, but all it has done is create frustrated children and parents and set more of our children up to fail. The percentage of children failing math has risen since this has been instituted.
Let's go back to the basics and give our children a break.

Why is this important?
I have a grandson and an adopted granddaughter. My granddaughter is having a total meltdown (she is 9) because she can't grasp the concept of the math and gets upset if she can not do well. This is putting to much pressure on the children and the parents. Sometimes in order to help my grandson with his homework, my daughter has to go online and learn how to do it.
Life is becoming too stressful as it is without putting all this added pressure on our children.
