Corporations are not Persons

A Corporation is a legal entity that is created under the laws of a state having its own privileges and liabilities distinct from those of its members.

The recent Citizens United Supreme Court decision undermines centuries of court decisions and law. It undermines State law written to grant corporate status. It creates a protected class of citizens - those who act and vote as private citizens and as officers of a corporation, and multiplies their power over elections, legislation, and legislators. It fundamentally changes how our country is run in direct opposition to the Constitution of the United States of America.

Congress must act now to take our country back to its foundation as a Representative Democracy.
