Corporations are not, nor have they ever been people. Giving corporations the same rights of a person is arguably the single largest roadblock to resolving financial inequalities, achieving environmental balance and moving forward socially as a species. Granting human rights to a non-human entity whose sole purpose for existence is profit through co-optive growth on a planet with finite resources impacts our entire society
Why is this important?
.Corporate manipulation in politics must end. Corporations are motivated purely by profit and growth and unlike people, have a potentially infinite lifespan. Corporation influence must end. We need radical reforms in campaign contribution laws, beginning with blocking the financial clout afforded to these entities.
