Stop pollution of Stemple Creek and Bodega Bay.
Why is this important?
In the interest of Sonoma County and the area surrounding the Sonoma County Central Landfill, stop further pollution of Stemple Creek. The goals are to safeguard the aquifer that is a source of water for the community; assist our neighbors with air, noise, odor, and water pollution caused by the Central Landfill Composting operation; and protect the rights of the ranchers, farmers, public, and wildlife that all use Stemple, Washoe, and Gossage Creeks and their estuaries.
Sonoma County Waste Management Agency made the decision to continue to dump millions of gallons of waste into Stemple Creek over the next few years knowing it is a violation of federal and state law. and they have been cited and threatened with fines to no avail. Its time this serious violation of State and Federal standards is stopped.
