CT Department of Children and Families: Sending Tax Money Overseas

Establishing custody for non-custodial parents that are non-residents and non-citizens is expensive for all taxpayers and compromises any authority for the department to maintain the safety of the child. The abuse of the department's authority to seize children for any reason and establish and interfere in matters of custody and visitation affects all parents and children in CT and it expends tax dollars on matters that should remain outside of the realm of duty for the department.

Why is this important?

Stop state spending on trips for American children in the custody of the CT Department of Children and Families to travel outside of the jurisdiction of the state to visit non-resident non-custodial parents.
