CT GOVERNOR MALLOY WANTS TO DROP 37,500 PARENTS FROM HUSKY A MEDICAL INSURANCE

ASK GOVERNOR MALLOY TO DROP HIS PLANS TO BALANCE THE BUDGET ON THE BACKS OF LOW INCOME FAMILIES BY CUTTING AT LEAST 37,500 PARENTS OFF OF THE HUSKY A PROGRAM.
EVEN THOUGH THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT WILL MAKE HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE AFFORDABLE FOR MANY CT CITIZENS WHO WOULD NOT OTHERWISE BE ABLE TO AFFORD IT, LOW INCOME PARENTS WHO CURRENTLY RECEIVE HUSKY ALONG WITH THEIR CHILDREN WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD THE PRIVATE INSURANCE OFFERED THROUGH THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT. LEFT WITHOUT COVERAGE THEY WILL BE FORCED TO GO TO HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOMS WHEN THEY BECOME SICK - WHICH IN TURN WILL DRIVE THE COST OF HEALTH CARE UP FOR ALL OF US.
THE IDEA BEHIND UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE IS THAT WHEN EVERYONE IS INSURED AND RECEIVES PREVENTATIVE CARE THE OVERALL PRICE OF HEALTH CARE GOES DOWN . ASK THE GOVERNOR AND YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVES TO FUND THE HUSKY A PROGRAM. LEAVING THESE PEOPLE UNINSURED IS INHUMANE AND IT ALSO DOESN'T MAKE ANY ECONOMIC SENSE. GOVERNOR MALLOY, WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?

Why is this important?

CONTACT CT GOVERNOR MALLOY AND CT LEGISLATORS ASK THEM TO FUND THE HUSKY A PROGRAM. THE GOVERNOR HAS PROPOSED CUTTING AN ESTIMATED 37,500 PARENTS OFF THE PROGRAM LEAVING THEM WITH NO MEDICAL COVERAGE. THAT'S INHUMANE AND DOESN'T MAKE ECONOMIC SENSE. (See below)
