Curb CVS/Caremark Monopoly

Please investigate CVS/Caremark's monopolistic control over which pharmacy I can use. I am unable to fill prescriptions at my compounding pharmacy because they are out of network. This should be illegal and should be investigated as it was in 2007. I had never heard of "in-network" and "out-of-network" pharmacies but would have to pay $533 for a one month supply of my blood pressure medicine by using a pharmacist that I trust. Otherwise, I am required to purchase a three-month supply from CVS while the doctor is still determining whether this medication works. If it doesn't I would be saddled with expensive medication that I cannot use.

I also am being treated for chronic pain, inflammation, Lyme disease, and chronic fatigue. I am in constant pain. CVS/Caremark has made it impossible for me to obtain a full month prescription for pain medication that would help me to sleep. Clearly, health reform is badly needed; people are suffering. Please address urgent issues that affect plain ordinary people.

Why is this important?

Pharmacy monopolies need to be broken up. Bring choice back to the consumer.
