Abolish the special retirement and medical care privileges available to Representatives and Senators and make the aforementioned elected officials subject to the Social Security and Medicare enjoyed by ordinary citizens. If not, then Congress should not have the legislative jurisdiction to curb or lessen the benefits available to the rest of the country as of December 31, 2012.
Why is this important?
To prevent Congress from touching Medicare and/or Social Security until members of the House and Senate give up their special entitlements and subject themselves to the same entitlements as the rest of the country.
