CUT SC ETV AND SAVE PBS

South Carolina ETV has a budget of millions of dollars yet produces a few local TV programs. A live production truck sits rusting in the rear parking lot from under use, a vehicle that cost close to a million dollars. In the main facility are two large studios, one used once a month and the other shut. Two rooms of smaller studios once used for distance learning were closed several years ago and the regional station in Rock Hill has one employee in a facility with room for fourteen.
ETV is not PBS. PBS can be operated at a fraction of the cost of ETV and with a few employees.
Please look at ETV as an outdated state agency, one that once produced needed educational TV programs but now WHAT? Ask yourself do I want ETV or am I watching PBS? The difference is the state is paying millions to ETV and hardly any to PBS!
VOTE TO CUT ETV AND KEEP PBS!

Why is this important?

South Carolina schools need all the money they can get so why waste any more money on SC ETV? The Governor and legislators have the power to completely close this wasteful and outdated state agency (and keep PBS which is easy) so why not vote TO CLOSE ETV this time?
