It is time to require all cyclists to have a simple click bell on their handlebars and to USE it when approaching a pedestrian. They are taking over the streets and pose a terrible hazard to anyone on the sidewalks as shown by the unfortunate death of an elderly lady a few days ago in downtown Honolulu.
Why is this important?
People are being endangered by cyclists racing along the sidewalks and coming up behind them without warning. Riders should be required to use the old-fashioned click bells mounted on their handlebars.
