Why is this important?
i am a parent at dr. tanner g duckrey school and community activist and organizer in north philadelphia. This petition is for the reevaluation vs. school closures. There are gonna be 66 schools in total planning to close by june 2013 and only 37 are being publicly closed and most of them are in north philadelphia.
We have been rallying meetings in regards of school closures and demanding a moriitorium which is an extension for further evaluation vs. closures. So far we have the votes from city council of philadelphia for the moritorium so the we are now waiting for School Reform Commisision Board to agree with the moritorium.
