Dark Knight Shooting a Call to Stop Violence

In light of the tragic and senseless shooting in Aurora, Colorado, we the undersigned call on the U.S. Congress and President Barack Obama to expand funding to public schools in order to reinforce values taught by mothers and fathers in the homes of school children. We call on our federal government to fund values education that teaches the dignity of human life, the need to respect Deity, and the value of peace and nonviolence.

Why is this important?

As we have witnessed yet another tragic act of violence, we need to renew our resolve to strengthen the moral fabric our nation. Violence can only cease when all human beings love, cherish, and respect human life. Not only must we teach children to love, cherish, and respect human life in our homes and in our places of worship, but also in our schools.
