There is a Bill currently making positive progress through the Texas state legislature that would give college students the right to carry a concealed hand gun on campus and in classrooms. So, before this well protected fast moving gunman may be shot he has already fired at least 30 rounds. The shooter may be smart enough not to pick the College of Business, but instead selects the College of Nursing or Sociology. My wife and I are both educators and understand that if this bill passes violent offenders will change their MO. In K-12 have one entrance with a metal detector. During the day you must show ID at the entrance and then no one but employees gets past the front desk. There are better ways than arming students and faculty.

Why is this important?

Bill in the Texas legislature allowing college students to carry concealed weapons.
