Daylight Saving Time Impairs Vision - Sign for Visual Health
Daylight Saving Time (DST) is the practice of changing the clock twice a year. Most of the world is on Standard Time which is the time that begins in the spring. Changing the clocks is bad for everyone, but visually impaired people suffer more. Visual impairment grows more severe from DST for many reasons. The increase in darkness during fall and winter hours creates difficulty for everyone, especially the blind and visually impaired. A wide range of symptoms from dizziness to sleeplessness, to increased visual impairment worsens for the blind and visually impaired. The research is clear that DST injures everyone and especially the blind and visually impaired. DST discriminates against the blind and visually impaired for DST harms them more significantly than others. Daylight Saving Time should be abolished.
Why is this important?
Daylight Saving Time (DST) is bad for the economy, the environment and peoples health, but no group suffers more than the blind and visually impaired. This outdated practice neglects the visual impairment DST inflicts on everyone especially the visually impaired. Sign the petition to get visual relief from the darkness of Daylight Saving Time.
