We, the People, demand that Congress declare war against Climate Change, the greatest threat humanity has ever faced, to lead the world in limiting the temperature rise to 1.5C. Congress shall enact laws and regulations which will tax and cap carbon emissions, said tax revenues and other money as necessary going directly to build a non-carbon based economy.
Why is this important?
The Oil and Gas companies will not stop pumping oil out of the ground and we will not stop burning it unless we demand of everyone that we address climate change now. I want my kids and grand kids to inherit a sustainable world. The forests we hike in are burning, crops are failing. It is time to act.
