Defend, not Rescind, DACA

Petitioning the Trump Administration and both chambers of congress to keep DACA!

Why is this important?

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is under threat of being ended. Though Donald Trump has stated he "loves the Dreamers", he is still considering ending it and the benefits it provides for over 800,000 people who were brought to the United States as young children.

If DACA is ended, it would be one of the most inhumane policy decisions in the history of modern U.S. politics, and would severely harm the economy; business leaders have estimated a loss of $460.3 billion.

Top Republican lawmakers, including Paul Ryan and Orrin Hatch, and an attorney general, Herbert Slatery, who previously opposed DACA, have called on Trump to defend the program. A handful of mayors from both political parties have also lent their voices to the fight to keep DACA. Members of our government want to keep this program, let's make sure they do. My goal for this petition is 50,000 signatures, and I know we can reach it and send a powerful message to this administration.

Our country is built on immigrants. This nation stands on being a land of opportunity, open to all. We must hold true to the core values of the United States, stand with the Dreamers, and tell the Trump Administration to defend DACA.
