Our defense budget is bankrupting us. We can no longer afford the annual $612,000,000,000, so lets find cuts in priorities and expenses. I propose an annual one billion dollar reduction in the defense budget until our nations debt and deficit are wiped clean. One billion seems like alot, but that's 1/612th of the current annual budget. Imagine what else we could do with a billion dollars.
Why is this important?
We really need to spend out money more wisely and the defense budget is breaking us. Think what we could do with a billion dollars in education or for streets or medical funding.
