Del. Carr and Sen. Marsh: Please Support GMO Labeling in Virginia

Dear Delegate Betsy Carr and Senator Henry Marsh,

We, the residents of Virginia, are petitioning you for the right to choose the food we eat. We want the knowledge of what is in our food. In order to obtain this right, it requires labeling of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). We are concerned about the health effects that GMO- ingredient food have on our health and are owed the right to choose what we buy for ourselves and our families. Please exercise your power to represent our voice for labeling GMOs in the Richmond area where you serve and in the state that we call home, Virginia.

Thank you.

Why is this important?

This is an issue that affects everyone. GMOs are not currently labeled in Virginia so when we shop at our local grocery stores we do not always know what we are purchasing.

If we had companies label GMOs, it would uphold our right to know what is in our food.
