Why is this important?
Nearly blind, unable to speak English, and living with serious medical conditions, Nurul was abandoned by Border Patrol agents miles away from his home in cold winter weather.
He was a Rohingya refugee living in Buffalo. A father who just wanted to get home to his family and a home-cooked meal.
His family deserves to know why they weren't told where their father was. They deserve to know how he was treated and how this tragedy occurred. And they deserve to see those responsible for his death held accountable.
