Congress needs to pass my legislation to stop the Trump Administration from separating immigrant kids from their parents.
Why is this important?
Last week I introduced legislation to prohibit the Trump Administration from indiscriminately separating immigrant kids from their parents.
I believe Congress has a moral obligation to stand up and stop the federal government from ripping children from the arms of their parents. We should be in the business of keeping families together, not tearing them apart.
Many of these families are fleeing violence and instability in search of security and safety here in the United States. It’s wrong to traumatize these kids further. Congress must take action right now.
