Demand Jeff Sessions testify before the Judiciary Committee about the firing of Andrew McCabe

We are calling on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to testify before the Judiciary Committee to answer questions on the firing of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe. He must explain the Department of Justice’s process and whether this is an attempt to target, punish, or silence those investigating Russia and the Trump campaign.

Why is this important?

On Friday night, we learned Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired Andrew McCabe -- the Deputy Director of the FBI -- just two days before he was set to retire.

At this moment, we don’t know all the facts or the reasoning behind this decision, but Sessions’ and Trump's involvement in this process raise serious questions. We need answers.

I am calling on Jeff Sessions to testify before the Judiciary Committee to answer questions on the firing of McCabe. He must explain the Department of Justice’s process and whether this is an attempt to target, punish, or silence those investigating Russia and the Trump campaign.

On Saturday morning, one of Trump’s attorneys used McCabe’s firing to call for an end to the Russia investigation and the firing of Bob Mueller. That’s unacceptable and deeply dangerous.

We can't allow partisan or personal influence to taint the Russia investigation or undermine the hard work of our law enforcement officials. That’s why we have to make our voices heard now and demand Sessions testify next week.
