Recently, State Senator Marty Golden posted a "joke" regarding marriage equality that mentioned gay people being stoned. We demand his apology for his crass joke and need to send the message that bigotry will not be tolerated in our community!
Why is this important?
State Senator Marty Golden is out of touch with the needs of the Bay Ridge community and America at large. The recent “joke” posted on his Facebook page about the stoning of gay people is distasteful and unacceptable. This incident is merely another in a long line of examples which reveal Senator Golden’s disregard of the community he has been sworn to serve. The Senator needs to recognize all of his constituents as equal citizens.
