Demand Rep. Peter Roskam (IL 6th District) Donate NRA Campaign Donations to End Gun Violence
In light of the growing gun violence that is gripping this country, it is irresponsible for Congressional representatives to take contributions from the gun lobby whose expectation in return is they fight any initiative to implement common sense gun legislation.
Representative Roskam as an "A" rating from the NRA and has taken in excess of $20,000 in donations from the NRA. We demand that he follow the lead of Congressman Ryan from Ohio and donate any money he has received and will receive between now and November of 2018 from the NRA to Everytown, Moms Demand Action, Americans for Responsible Solutions, or an equally reputable organization committed to fighting for common sense gun legislation.
In the 6th District of Illinois, thousands of us are raising our voices to say enough is enough.
We demand that Representative Roskam listen to us when we say you can protect the 2nd Amendment but you can also support common sense measures to ensure no loopholes, comprehensive background checks, a ban on assault weapons, and federal action to stop the insanity of guns coming in from neighboring states,

Why is this important?
The mass shootings killing thousands of American children, women, men country music fans, teachers, law enforcement officers and other innocent civilians have got to end. Congress must lead. They must stand up against the gun lobby which refuses to work toward responsible solutions.
