Recent tests confirmed it: the water in Portland schools is contaminated with lead.
Students, teachers and visitors should have access to clean, safe drinking water in their schools. Fully transparent and regular water testing, and accountability from Portland Public School officials to keep Portland's children safe from lead contamination in their schools needs to be started and continued ASAP. This should be done state-wide as well.

State officials are derelict in funding essential services and we all suffer, starting with children.
