Demand that pulp & paper giant APP keep its promises

Pulp and paper giant Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) is failing to respect community rights and is, therefore, failing to keep its policy promises. While the people of Bangka Belitung have stood up and rejected this industrial pulpwood plantation on their traditionally-owned land, APP continues to make plans to source from this area, all to feed their massive new pulp mill.

Why is this important?

I have recently learned of APP’s links to PT BRS in Bangka Belitung and of APP’s intention to bring the company on as a supplier. I am calling on APP to implement its policies and respect the rights and demands of the people of Bangka Belitung who have rejected pulp and paper plantations on their traditionally owned land.
