Demand that Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) Host an In-Person Town Hall
This campaign has ended.

As your constituents, we are signing the petition to express our disappointment and frustration at the lack of in-person public forums available for us and the people in our community to meet with you. We are directly impacted by the chaos and dysfunction caused by President Donald Trump and his cuts to government services, levying of tariffs that raise prices, terrorizing our cities with ICE agents, protecting pedophiles in the Epstein files, disenfranchising voters through election interference schemes, murders of occupants of boats from Venezuela, threats against Iran, support for Putin over Ukraine, etc.
Meanwhile, the issues voters care about—the cost of groceries, housing, and health care—are getting worse, not better.
We urge you, Mike Bost, to schedule in-person town halls so that you can hear directly from the people you were elected to represent, and be accountable for the decisions you are enabling or supporting.
There is still time for you to do right by your constituents and meet with us in good faith to hear our concerns.
Sincerely,
Illinois Congressional District 12 Residents
Why is this important?
Recess is a time for members of Congress to return to their home states. They should be using this week to meet with their constituents, give space for their concerns, and take that back to D.C.
Instead, House Republican leaders are now reportedly telling their offices to avoid holding public events when they are home for recess. This is the opposite of the directions Democrats are receiving from leadership—with Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries encouraging all members to connect directly with constituents to talk about the Republican-backed attacks on key services like Social Security and Medicaid, Republican support for a lawless ICE and Border Patrol and Republican-supported protection of pedophiles named in the Epstein files.

Representative Mike Bost was elected to represent us—he should not be hiding from his constituents. Period.
Add your name to the petition to demand Representative Mike Bost host a town hall or public office hours during the congressional recess!
How it will be delivered
