Demand that the Witte Museum in San Antonio to Return Esto’k Gna Human Remains

Since 1928, the Witte Museum holds remains, at least 80 infant remains that are connected to the Carrizo/ Comecrudo Tribe of Texas. We were never asked or approached by anyone to study or collect these remains. We request the return of these remains to be reburied accordingly.

Why is this important?

The lack of respect by government officials is the ongoing ethnic cleansing and decimation of Native Original People of Texas. It is well known if historical ethnic cleansing of Carrizo/ Comecrudo since first contact. The separation Of Children from Native Original Families is an ongoing killing of tribal identity and part of the oppressive colonization.
