Democracy for America
Proposed Democracy Amendment:
All eligible voters shall have the right to vote on all proposed federal laws and executive orders. If 30% or more of the Nation’s eligible voters cast a vote, the peoples vote shall govern without veto.
Benefits:
The proposed amendment is simple, easily understood, but profound.
Marketing this amendment and obtaining buyin from the Amercan people would be much, much easier. What American voter would not be in favor of this amendment? Who in their right mind could publically argue against it without being portrayed as against democracy?
Passage of the amendment would pave the way as a stepping stone for the existing NI4D initiative:
The American people would experience the amendment process by popular vote.
The voting infra systems could be designed, implemented, and honed.
The American people would be exposed to a higher level of participative democracy; this exposure would greatly facilitate passage of the second initiative.
Most importantly, the American people could begin to regain control of the country.

Why is this important?
America has become increasingly less democratic as corporate interests, Party interests, and other special interests have dominated the political arena and alienated voters. What this country needs is a National Initiative and Referendum process, to increase the power of citizens/voters and bring democracy to America.
