1. Eliminate the Electoral College; have an actual popular vote.
2. Adjust our tax code so the general fund can finance the political advertising necessary to disseminate candidates' ideas.
3. Make total campaign spending equal to 10% of 2012's total.
4.) Use ONE excellent ballot format and voting machine, which would be ratified by Congress and signed by the President.
Why is this important?
In addition to most of it's language, our country should use most of Britain's political campaign financing laws. Currently, we go about elections as if we don't WANT to have a democracy. If we had a campaign and voting system that was truly democratic and some party tried to change it to what we have now, people would "riot in the streets." I am personally appalled by our current system.
