We the undersigned favor retrofitting existing structures with solar, wind, and hydroelectric power generation as a first choice in making Vermont sustainable in terms of electricity.
Understanding that small scale local power generation is more environmentally sound, energy efficient, and democratic, we urge the Vermont Legislature, Governor, and Public Service Board to re-evaluate their current position and trajectory, and to open the dialogue to more input from the public.
Why is this important?
This petition is in support of smaller community owned and based wind and solar electrical generation, as opposed to large industrial corporate owned wind and solar electrical generation.
