By signing this, I agree that the United States government should immediately end all foreign anti-narcotic operations. By signing this, I believe the United States government should invest money and resources into treatment centers and educational advertising instead of building prisons and hiring guards. By signing this I believe the United States government should build a common-sense legislation that involves mandatory treatment versus prison for first time offenders, outright legalization and taxation of a U.S. marijuana trade, immediate end to all foreign financing for anti-narcotic operations and the implementation of a federal agency tasked to monitor and develop educational and rehab policies in each state - funded entirely on the federal taxation of the marijuana trade.
END THE DRUG WAR AND SPEND OUR TAX MONEY SENSIBLY.
Why is this important?
Over 34,000 people died due to the drug war in Mexico alone. Worldwide, the numbers are even more terrifying. As for costs, yearly the global drug war costs TRILLIONS. It's time to wake up and recognize a sensible way to ease the burden to the American tax payer and reduce our deficit : END THE DRUG WAR.
