Dental Health Care Coverage included in Health Care Insurance Plans
Routine semi-annual dental care and any dental issues diagnosed during those cleanings should be covered by health insurers. The goal is to reduce the expense of health care overall by eliminating one of the main culprits of diseases like Type 2 Diabetes, coronary artery disease, etc. Oral induced health issues are the cash cows of the American Health Care Delivery System and for Health Insurers. They are budget busters for consumers, businesses and government at all levels however. An additional benefit to society; non-dental insured/covered citizens would see an improvement in their overall health and well-being which will enable them to be more productive and perhaps net-tax payers instead of revenue-takers.
Why is this important?
Hundreds of millions of people's health are adversely affected by routine dental issues (cavities, broken teeth, etc.) that are inexpensive in of themselves to address whereas the health delivery system is making trillions of dollars treating health issues like diabetes, obesity, coronary artery disease, strokes to name a few that develop because of dental health neglect.
