Grant permission for Dental Therapists to be trained in California Community Colleges and become licensed in California.
Why is this important?
All Dentists refuse to accept public assistance (aka MediCare, MediCal, Welfare Insurance, etc.) for necessary dental work, so many people without money but with a lot of dental pain cannot afford basic dental care. However, Dental Therapist are trained to do basic dental work at low tuition schools (IE: Community Colleges) AND will accept public welfare insurance.
