Please end discrimination againt Department of Defense Employees and their same-sex spouses. Please allow the DoD to issue ID cards to all government workers' same-sex spouses so the spouses have the same benefits as straight married employees.
Why is this important?
I am a civilian working for DoD in Korea. I am in a same-sex marriage and even though my employer signed the paperwork for my spouse to receive an ID for benefits like using the PX and commissary, DoD will not issue it. This is discrimination against gays. My spouse cannot shop with me on base to buy food for us and to buy his personal things. I want DoD to end discrimination against gays and lesbians.
