In response to last Friday's massacre at Sandy Hook Elementay School, Dick's Sporting Goods has suspended the sale of certain kinds of semi-automatic rifles from it's chains nationwide. Let's urge Dick's, the largest sporting goods chain in the world, to make that suspension permanent and set a precedent of positive action for the rest of the country.
Why is this important?
Most of the guns used in mass murder rampages, like the one that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School, were purchased legally. Dick's Sporting Goods, where Adam Lanza reportedly attempted to purchase a semi-automatic weapon last week, has suspended the sale of these weapons for an undefined period of time.
