Disavow MoveOn.org's Presumptive Statement on the Democratic Nomination
The membership of MoveOn.org does NOT approve of the Political Action Director, Ilya Sheyman's statement, reputedly representing members and using the organization's good name to tip the scale in favor of Hillary Clinton and the false narrative of her presumptive nomination.
Her statement does NOT represent the membership of MoveOn.org, only the members that she means to refer to who agree with her. There was no member outreach to come to this conclusion.
We do NOT agree with the presumption of the nomination for either candidate until the votes are cast at the convention that will determine the outcome.

Why is this important?
I was shocked and disappointed to see this statement, claiming to represent the membership of MoveOn.org, when there was no such consideration given from membership beyond those in the executive offices of MoveOn.org. This is wholly undemocratic and an abuse of the public trust.
The Statement in question read:
MoveOn.org Political Action Executive Director Ilya Sheyman released this statement:
“MoveOn members congratulate Secretary Hillary Clinton on her glass-ceiling-shattering campaign and being the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States."
