Ditch The Cliff

Congress created the specter of a "Fiscal Cliff" to try to force bipartisan negotiations on budget cuts to reduce the deficit. Those negotiations failed, but now the relentless publicity about the looming disaster of the cuts outlined in the Cliff are threatening world markets, in the same way they were hurt by the Debt Ceiling standoff. Congress should simply reschedule the deadline, and get back to work on real negotiations to reduce the deficit responsibly.

Why is this important?

The "Fiscal Cliff" was created by Congress to force them to negotiate. It hasn't worked, but now it's threatening world markets.
