Do house wifes have to suffer because they didn't work?

I was a house wive who stayed at home to raise my children, all along trying to help my husband manage his businesses. I did his office management job at all his businesses, and was never given pay. Never thinking that one day, I would be diagnosed with MS and need to be on disability.
Do you know when this happens, we are not able to draw anything to help us with our monthly bills, medications etc...

As of this date I draw $183.00 a month and getting $29.00 monthly in food stamps.

Their has to be something done to help women like me who worked their butts off being a mother and can't draw anything because she was classified a non worker by our government.

Why is this important?

Unable to draw income after a disability because you were a home maker?
Living day to day, standing in food giveaway lines and going to free heath centers? ME TOO!!
