GMOs are heavily sprayed with toxic chemicals which drift in the trade winds to organic crops and to homes, schoold, hospitals, etc.
Counties and cities are the grassroots of our democracy (democratic republic) and must be able to control their own destinies. Why shouldn't they be able to protect their own Keiki (children) and Kupuna (elderly)?
Why is this important?
I now have a toxic chemical (trifluralin) on my property from a neighbor's property due to lack of enforcement of label instructions by the state, local governments, the EPA, the FDA and Hawaii DOA.
My community organization, The Mililani Town Association, (MTA) is constantly spraying toxic chemicals in public places near homes, schools, etc., without even disclosing what it is they are spraying.
