Do not allow the Senate and Congress under the guise of a fiscal cliff compromise to harm Social Security and Medicare. If they want to really show us that they are serious, let them repeal their Health Insurance for life and other perks these elected officials have passed for themselves. There are other ways to trim a calamity which the government itself caused. If it was able to in a bipartisan way to anoint health coverage for themselves, they can also find a solution to the budget issue. It's another reason to have term limits.
Why is this important?
The fiscal cliff which resulted in saving Wall Street bankers should not now penalize Main Street and retirees under the guise of compromise. Extending retirement age whilst ensuring the banks can continue business as usual is an insult to humanity. Do not allow the money we've all contributed all our lives to be affected by a "compromise" to a mess the Government itself created.
