The Aids Taskforce of Greater Cleveland has been DEFUNDED for the Ryan White part B funding for fiscal 2017 -2018 Year. The Ohio Department of Health Director Richard Hodges TODAY refused to meet and or discuss the decisions with representatives of the ATGC and or other interested activists or to defend the decision to not award Ryan White Part B monies. This is essential to the case management and well-being of PLWHA in Greater Cleveland Area.
We, as a community, have worked long and hard not only to our Task Force alive for over 35 years, donating, fundraising, many of us have risked arrest or have been arrested in acquiring funding and keeping funding available.
Please tell the above-mentioned bureaucrats that this IS NOT acceptable and reinstate the funding so dearly needed in our community. Our community deserves better, our PLWHA s deserve better To know that the relationships and trust they have built with their caseworkers will be intact next month. imagine starting the process all over.

Why is this important?
Ohio Department of Health refused TODAY to reconsider or even entertain a conversation about the 2017-2018 fiscal funding of the Ryan White part B funding. The State stands on their undefined and undefended decision to defund Ryan White Part B funding to the Aids Task Force of Greater Cleveland.
