Reinstating the Assault Weapons Ban would do absolutely nothing to stop crime. The firearms targeted by the ban are widely used by firearms enthusiasts for a wide variety of legitimate reasons, and their use in crime is nearly zero. Punishing law abiding firearms owners by banning their guns is a violation of the Second Amendment.
Why is this important?
This petition is to protect every citizens rights, mainly our second amendment " A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed". We the people will not give up our Right to bear arms!
