Do not REPEAL and REPLACE Affordable Care Act. Work towards Upgrading and Improving Affordable C...

It is time for the Senate to end the effort to Repeal and Replace the Affordable Care Act. The Republicans have presented a bill that will seriously threaten the health of the Elderly ,Poor , and the Middle Class by making drastic cuts to Medicaid and raising the costs unfairly. The overwhelming majority of Americans do not want this bill.Instead; I believe they would want to see the Affordable Care Act upgraded and improved in a bipartisan effort that would even consider a transition to a SIngle Payer Program. The Senate must let this unjust Repeal and Replace Act die and a Bipartisan Committee should be formed - possibly including members of both the House and Senate along with an invitation to the President to participate in making an effort to truly fix the healthcare program.

Why is this important?

The bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act that has been presented to the Senate is vastly unpopular with an overwhelming majority of the American People. It threatens the health and welfare of Elderly,Poor, and Middle Class by unfair pricing and vast cuts to Medicaid. I believe that the Senate should kill this bill and instead a Bipartisan Committee should be formed from both the House and Senate and also include input by the President to help create a bill that will help to address the problems of the Affordable Care Act and make necessary changes; perhaps even to look at a transition to a single payer program.
