Do the Right Thing

Dear Mr. President - we may continue to love you for your personality, intelligence, great family and social values, and your desire to bring the nation together; but these qualities are not enough if you do not find the toughness and energy in office to bring about the universal single payer health care and job creation systems needed to continue the great traditions of your Democratic party predecessors - Roosevelt, Truman and especially Johnson - eac of whom, in turn, finally recognized that intransigent know-nothing opponents had to be forcefully subdued to accomplish great progress for the nation and its people. PLEASE GET AS TOUGH AND MEAN WITH THE CONGRESS AND THE REPUBLICAN OPPOSITION AS IF THEY WERE OPPONENTS IN LOCAL CHICAGO-STYLE POLITICS. The American people are ready to follow if you take off the gloves to successfully diminish and dismantle a political opposition whose only purpose is to paralyze the ability of our government to do its job! FIGHT ON MR. PRESIDENT!
