Dog Park at Moon Valley Park

We would love to have a dog park installed at Moon Valley Park in Phoenix, AZ. There are dog parks installed at other local dog parks around North Pheonix, but not at the Moon Valley Park. There’s plenty of room for one to be installed behind the Catholic Church, on Coral Gables and 3rd Ave, with parking and concrete paths already in place. There is also power and water currently installed, which will keep building costs down. The area is never used for recreation, so it would not impact recreational sports and activities. It’s big enough to follow the same three separate individual enclosed areas, like the dog park at Deer Valley Park.

Why is this important?

There are many dog owners in the Moon Valley area, yet our closest dog park is Deer Valley Park, which is 6-7 miles away. The residents of Moon Valley already walk their dogs in our park, but we need a safe and convenient place for our dogs to play.

How it will be delivered

We will print it out and deliver it in person to both a city council meeting and directly to the Phoenix Parks & Recreation Board and the director of the board.
