Donate your time instead of shopping on "Black Friday"
I pledge to use "Black Friday" as an opportunity to help others, rather than engaging in frenzied shopping. Stores will still be there on Saturday, after all.
Why is this important?
Americans celebrate all of the things we're grateful for on Thanksgiving. But the very next day is a testament to the opposite, celebrating greed and dissatisfaction with what we don't have. "Black Friday," has become violent in recent years, and people are now regularly dying needlessly. Why don't we continue our celebration of Thanksgiving an extra day by donating our time to helping others, rather than engaging in "Black Friday" madness? Join me in signing the petition, and share your thoughts and suggestions.
