It's hard getting jobs being a felon, knowing that you have an offense on your record. No matter what your crime, you should not be discriminated against when applying for a job. Companies should stop rejecting felons; at the end of the day they have to take care of their families and their homes.
Why is this important?
This petition is to get everyone aware of how difficult it is to find a job when you are a felon. Felons are discriminated against because of their past history. This is to show that they are hard workers like the next person. What the person did does not define them. This is for felons to get a second chance to fit into society. It will stop crimes if people will hire them. Everybody makes mistakes. Ban the rejection of felons. Laws should promote the hiring of all persons.
