We, the undersigned, seek action to help the millions of long term unemployed who have gotten lost in the shuffle. Those of us who have stopped searching for work have done so purely out of discouragement. We need you to take action to 1) make it illegal to discriminate against the unemployed in the hiring process and 2) to encourage employers to hire people who are unemployed through no fault of their own.
Why is this important?
The long term unemployed have become invisible in the US economy and seek to have our concerns addressed.
