Don't Frack in Illinois

Fraking uses large amounts of water, which is a limited resource. There is high likelihood that it will contaminate ground water. The effects of the chemicals used is not known, and there is a history of the energy companies covering up the harm this practice has done.

Why is this important?

I count on my water to be clean and free of contaminants which might cause cancer and other adverse health effects. I am concerned that if fracking is done in any part of Illinois it will open it up to be done close to my home.
